Sample availability varies by month. A change in the median is not a confirmed change at every site.

Demonstration data. All 120 source locations, activities, sampling histories and analytical values are synthetic examples. They do not identify actual facilities or communities as polluters. Source associations indicate potential contaminants to investigate, not confirmed contamination. No compliance, drinking-water safety, pollution transport or exposure assessment is implied.

All charts follow the filters. “Analyze current map view” also restricts the selection geographically. The monthly trend retains the selected source cohort and recalculates available observations for each month; the coverage filter selects that cohort at the chosen month. Medians use one result per source, month and parameter. Different parameters and units are never combined.
Sampling gaps mean no recorded result for the selected parameter and month, including untested analytes. They do not indicate clean or contaminated water. Concentration colors show the relative numeric range; they are not regulatory thresholds. Only parameters associated with an activity’s assigned profile have generated assays. Pesticide screening is represented as a potential investigation need without assay values.
Density is the number of source points in each 0.25° × 0.25° geographic cell. Cell areas vary with latitude. It is not pollution intensity, pollutant load or a hydrologic catchment.
The emphasis on coverage and comparable observations is informed by UNEP’s ambient water-quality monitoring programme. This dashboard does not calculate the SDG indicator or apply US thresholds to Lao waters.
Priority next connections: laboratory results with method and detection limits; discharge inventories and permits; verified drainage links; monitoring sites and response records.
